#41228 - NoTouch and P2.6 P2.7 |
I'm late to the party guys. I am using the 89C51RB2HBA (first gen Rx2) and it works ok. I want to switch to the Rx@/01 later series but think the capacitors on the PSEN line is a hokey way of fixing their (Philips) bug. I'd like to implement the NoTouch solution but have dedicated P2.6 and P2.7 already. Can I install a second bootloader when I do the first flash that ignores these pins (would need the code...) or is there another solution (re-spin the board, I know). I see the P2.6 and P2.7 in the Atmel sheets, but didn't find it in the Philips.) I connected a port pin to PSEN so my application can detect the boot request.
Any ideas? Thanks a ton, wish I had found this site a few months ago. Bob Bailey |
