Hello Dixon,
As Jay said the DS1820 is more accurate, I used it in a few projects and it wasnt very difficult. If your not using interrupts or can disable the interrupts during the R/W routines it may be the better choice. If you are planing to locate the DS1820 remotely Be aware one thing Dallas does not discuss is protecting the DS1820 from damage from nearby lightining strikes,Let me know if you need advice about this.
