So are you trying to apply the RJ31X type of thing that we talked about in this earlier tread?
Most of the add-in board manufacturers that are making RS485 ports are using D sub 9 pin connectors as you probably already know. If so I have not seen a 'standard pinout'. The best I think you could find would be to find a vendor that makes some type of popular RS485 networked sensor instrumentation product line and use their pinout. For example check out this rs485.com WEB site.
