Here is what they used back when mechanical
calculators were the only option. An+1=1/2*(An+Ao/An) So, to find square root of 49 will take: 49 25 = 0.5*(49+49/49) 13.48 = 0.5*(25+49/25) 8.55 7.14 7.00 I hope, it may help. Regards Alexander |
