#41654 - RE: Intel 8051 Application Builder
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Have you downloaded the software or want to know before downloading it ? Anyway the following is from the Help file:

What does ApBUILDER do ?

ApBUILDER generates initialization code for supported Intel micro-devices. "C" or Assembly" Code is generated for
each peripheral that you select and configure.

Where do I Start?- Getting Information on the device.

Pull down the "Select-Device" menu and choose the device you are using.
For a quick product overview, select the "FACTS" button.
For answers to frequently asked questions, select the "Q&A" button.
For an architectural overview of a block or peripheral, click the "HiLites" button and then select any peripheral icon to
get an overview of that block.

Where do I go from here?- Generating Code.

Select the "Peripheral" button and then click on any peripheral icon.
Using the user-friendly dialog that appears, configure the peripheral to suit your objective.
Useful help on the peripheral options will appear in the help window in the dialog. Use this to learn about the peripheral
configuration options that are offered.
Select the desired output language "C" or "Assembly" from the dialog.
Click the "ShowCode" button on the bottom of the dialog. A screen will appear with the code necessary to configure the
peripheral to your specifications.

Thats it! Just repeat the steps for each peripheral that you are working with..

What else can I use ApBUILDER for ?

Register Editor.
From this screen you can view each register in your device. Helpful Information
for each register BIT is presented in the help window.

Instruction Editor.
From this screen you can obtain helpful information on each supported instruction such as addressing modes and
execution times.

Manual Access.
If you have installed the Hypertext manual for the device, you will be able to directly access the manual from within the
ApBUILDER screens. Intelligent links are provided into the manuals so that you spend less time getting the information
you need.

Hope that helps
