About your opinion concerning pulldowns. Mostly BS. Their use with CMOS circuits, provided you meet the interface requirements and noise margin requirements, are just fine. Your idea concerning a 1::1000000 use is old fashioned and harkens back to the days of designing with bipolar logic. Let up a little OK.
