The 1834 can have 5V applied to the 3.3V side in order to have two resets with different trip points
That, except for the polarity being wrong makes this chip excellent for NVRAM use. just let the highest trip point kill the NV and the lower reset the uC. I'm sure that some timing consideration need be done by having the NV reset before a diode and the uC reset off a large capacitor after the diode. Erik |
