You are running on the edge of the capability of a normal uC (moto, PIC included)
To get anything close to precision you will need a derivative with a PCA (see the cookbook Raghu references) witrh that you will probably be able to get something close to 200ns. With timers and interrupts, I do not believe you will get anything better than 3us. If, However a better precision is needed you can set up a CPLD to capture the duty cycle and use a uC ti integrate and process the readings. Erik |
