A very general query like that is going to rope in general answers and more than that, a flurry of counter-questions.

And now you are being told about TCP-IP ! What exactly do you want to do ?- I guess establish a link between your PC ( running a terminal emulation program like HyperTerminal ) and your MCU board.

Once this information is known then help can be specific and to the issue.
