#42078 - RE: Delay Generator Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Chris,
I too got an error on the page when I hit generate (Win2K, IE6). However, I see a different problem where you input the number of clocks per instruction. For better or worse I happen to use the Winbond W77C32 (similar to the Dallas DS80C320) and it doesn't have a constant clocks per instruction. Most are 4, some are 8, some 12, and some MOVX oddballs are 8-36. This would decrease the accuracy of any generated timing loop... I don't know if other newer 8051 variants have multiple clocks per instruction like this one. For that matter I don't know if it is worth any time on your part to handle such things, simply support the most common parts. Perhaps just add a note giving this limitation. Thanks for taking the time to create a tool useful to many 8051 programmers. Dennis |
