Hello Mr. Gabriel Lour,
Looking at the timer diagram at the following address http://members.aol.com/cpu8052/8051timers.gif you can see how the 8051 timer registers are controlled. Controlling the TL0 & TH0 is done by the tr0 flag. When set TL0 & TH0 will increment, when cleared TL0 & TH0 will stop incrementing.
How this is helpful.
