#4226 - 100base-T TCP/IP to Serial Device |
I am in need of, and it looks like I will have to design, a 100base-T to serial transcoder.
The device should have an RJ-45 100 Base T port, be TCP/IP addressable, and have a DB-9 serial port. The device would accept commands over TCP/IP issue commands to the serial port and then relay the results back. I will use the serial port of the MPU through a MAX 232 for the serial side. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on the 100 base-t side for hardware? Any thoughts, comments or suggestions are welcome. Thanks Glen |
