#42408 - 8051 ICs and bidirectional pins |
Greets all,
I have a quick and stupid question. I have an 8051 setup in a microprocessor like system. I need to communicate with a JTAG controller. My options are 1) Use the remaining port on my 8051 or 2) Use a TI JTAG controller. Option #2 has the problem of being 3.3V and so I'd prefer to avoid that problem if possible. So thus, option #1. Heres the question, Can I control the pins individually without worry (so 4 of the 8 are inputs, the remainders are outputs) or for that mode, is the port "IN" or "OUT" only? Thanks! |
