Hello Anoop,

Maybe you are looking for alternatives to MAX232 due to cost / availability. If it is due cost, then you are wrong - there is virtually no saving when you consider the time and trouble of building it discreetly. And particularly when you are not sure of the interface requirements.

You would do well to first visit this site and learn about RS232 :
