Hi Michael;
You are correct as usual.But this shall work
only for inputs.If somebody decides to use
outputs of P2 then he/she shall need to mainatain an image or shadow of P2 so that outputs are not disturbed(since we can not read latch back).IMHO for a single input one is far better off using some other pin from P3.
