#4313 - RE: Encrypting code |
Jay,
Good story about the special ALE latch, very clever indeed. Disinformation is not a tool in security. (Hows that for disinformation?) I'd like to add, if there is a market for stealing something, then people will steal it. Look at Pay-TV descramblers.... they all get hacked sooner or later. I believe you can never keep your code or product safe, you can only stay 1 step ahead of the thieves. Business sense would dictate, get a product out fast and wide then let it die. Make your money right now and not in the long run. I know some guy Bill used this strategy. My $.02 worth. |
