Hi Josh,
A client of ours has a hospital bed that uses several 8051 modules networked, each perform a specific task. Some of the duties could lead to dangerous circumstances if the controller went off into the weeds. We have built many safegaurds into the final version to recover from such things. Could you imagine using a PCB design package with windows and getting through the majority of your layout work(remembering to save often of course) when all of a sudden the system locks up? Who could stand for.... Oops, never mind. :-) Allen |
