#43357 - RE: Lpt Port Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Justin,
There is a driver for windows XP, NT and 2000 which makes it possible to access the ports (lpt,com,speaker,...) directly. It is called 'GIVEIO.SYS' and there is an installer available too. You only need to install it and your software it set to go directly! I used it for an avr-programmer, and it works smoothly. check out this link : http://www.physik.rwth-aachen.de/group/III...cs_nt.html Ps : Jez, I think one doesn't have to be mad to develop such things under XP, We are more like "forced to" if we want to be up to date :) . It's just like 'throwing over the switch'. happy coding... Jeffrey Ballegeer |
