If absolutotally no electrical noise exist in the environment: connect Rx(a) to Tx(b) and Tx(a) to Rx(b).
if some electrical noise exist, use 232 transcievers.
if more electrical noise exist, use 485 transcievers.

Remember putting it together and seing it works is no proof that it is right
