probably a legend but....
There is the story of the introduction of the pound coin in the UK in the early 80s. It was discovered quickly that a lead duplicate had exactly the same electrical signal as the real thing, and for some reason wasn't rejected by weight discrimination. The answer was to listen for a characteristic "thud" as it hit the back of the mechanism ! Steve |
