Hello Andi,
I suddenly realized that you started off with wanting to SPI and finally ended up with ISP!! To add to the confusion, the AT89c51rd2 can do both. So to clarify , the SPI is via Parallel port and ISP is via serial port and ONLY this uses FLIP software. Furthermore to do SPI, you need a special cable from ATMEL that has a driver IC in it. Circuit is available, but if you make it in your lab, the results are nothing to shout about - atleast for me. So I would suggest that you stick to RS232+ISP+FLIP. Easier that way. Cheers Raghu |
