Dear Sirs,

i need to read some j-1939 messages from a SCANIA engine. I have to use a microcontroller without CAN onchip.

I intend to use a can driver from ST (pn:SN65HVD23X), and the usart from 8051.

I need documentation about electrical conection (level), and format of messages.
