I would make your temperature controller in a separate enclosure as well. However you may want to consider interfacing it via RS232 or USB. If you make it in this way then the temperature controller can be used in various configurations besides just controlling the cabinet temperature of a PC. A more general port such as a RS232 or USB could be controlled via interface to other devices including (but not limited to) a MAC computer, a PC computer, another embedded system, or a PLC.
