If you are from India - I would recommend that you stay away from BASIC-52 stuff. There is no support available locally - if you have your cousin / uncle staying abroad who can search , buy and send these stuff - just go ahead.

You decision to go for the 89c51rd2 is good. Just get the Flash Magic software , get a PC with a serial port and you can be writing your first program already.

Having said all this, if for some (funny)reason you want to test fate, mail me. I can send you the copy of a document that describes how to copy the BASIC-52 interpreter on to a EPROM.

Interpreters + EPROM Hmmm.. Not very State-of-art.
