#44869 - RE: Timers, time base Responding to: ???'s previous message |
The last two posts showed some subtle differences. Whenever there is a rounding off to be done - do it to the final answer and not at some intermediate point in the calculation. Reason why Rob ended up with 64613 as reload which is a shade inaccurate than Lee's 64614 against the required 64614.4. OK in any case to get some decent accuracy, the periodic correction is a must and when doing this, both above cases can be handled. And being a time base, using an MCU with PCA is the way to go.
