In order to do what you want, your ADC will need a resolution of -at least- 10mV. Assuming you have the ADC0804 hooked up for 5V full-scale, its resolution will be 20mV (5V/255); twice what you require. The datasheet details how to connect the ADC for "Zero-Shift and Span Adjust". Using this method, you can set the ADC to read '00' at 2.72V input and '180' at 4.52V input. Then all you have to do is divide by 10. Best regards, Rob. |
