The leakage current of an electrolytic capacitor is probably greater than the maximum input current of the ADC. It is also not stable; it changes with temperature, age and applied voltage. So yes, it is poor in performance! Better use a foil capacitor. 1µF units are available from EPCOS, BC components, AVX and Wima. Regards, Rob. |
