#46127 - RE: Emad Again
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hallo Emad,

when needing 30 inputs or outputs you can proceed the following: Connect 'A' input of '138 to A13, 'B' input to A14 and 'C' input to A15. Additionally 'G2A#' input to ground and 'G1' input to Vcc. Connect RD# of mcu to 'G2B#'. Connect four of the eight outputs of '138 directly to 'G1#' input of individual '540 or '541. Have 'G2#' input of '540 or '541 grounded. By this methode 32 input lines can be interfaced.
For having interfaced 32 outputs, proceed the following: Take '238, not '138, connect it to A13, A14 and A15 in the same manner. Also, connect 'G2A#' and 'G1' in the same manner. But connect 'G2B#' input now to WR# of mcu. Connect four of the eight outputs directly to 'C' input of individual '573.

Keep in mind that there are several other ways to implement this expanding.

Bye,
Kai
