I have tried to program a AT89C2051 using almost all of the circuits and programmers available there. I have treid it wit three different devices but i have failed to program the chip.

There was this Bloit program using only a LPT and two transistors and a few resistors but it failed . while running the program it only said no programmer found. althought the lpt port is properly configured and bidirectional.

then there was this easy downloader. as i didn't have any ready programed AT89C2051 holding the writer program, i programmed a AT89S8252 with the code and used it in place of The At89c2051.

There was one more from dontronics using the lpt and a latch. but it failed too.
I have no idea what i am doing wrong. I have tried three different At89C2051.
All my circuits were assembled on breadbord. the Pc used for the programming is a 500MHz PIII.
can some one out there help me.

The reason i want to use the AT89C2051 is that it is cheap ( i can buy four of these with the cost of one PIC16F84. has a uart. has two timers. and for ADC applications it has one on chip comparator.
