Well,thanks for all the replys,pretty much as i thought and to answer some points the processor i have ended up with has no multiplies/divider/decimal adjust,not uart,no extenal interupts,only one port which reduceed the gate count by about 50 %
The answer to the problem of how to get a compiler which will work with it has been partically resolved by a tame software guru who was muttering stuff about table based compilers so Ill have to see what he comes up with. .And the 8052 was chosen for the basic model because the customers want it that way and the customer is always right I find. |
