yes, this can really be a big surprise having this high voltage at output of regulator, right? Negative voltage regulators are even worse... Some voltage regulators must have a minimum load, when running with such a high input voltage. Mostly a 10kOhm resistor is enough. By the way, 29V at input is too much. Try not to have more than 20V at input. Regulating characteristics suffer from this high input voltage. Even this too high output voltage is a consequence of this. Bye, Kai |
