#46554 - RE: code into eXternal RAM Responding to: ???'s previous message |
## However, why do you want to do this?
I use AT89C51. My code exceeds 4kB. I could, of course, use AT89C52, but if my code will exceed 8kB? I have 32kB external ram. But i dont use it, because dont know how to load it with hex. I'm getting outsides to breath fresh air. Uf... p.s. I am not using any factured board. ## You can download the new program version to FLASH and forget all of this! Yes, i can up to 4kB :( Stop guys critisizing me! Now i think i should(?) have used chip with ISP. But the program specific is that some data in program is changed and it must be saved, that the next time system starts up with the 'changed' program. (well, ISRP could be used(?) i guess). Modification will be done often. At the moment system was being created the academic/tutor advised to used battery backed RAM. Then i thought it is a good idea. Now... i'm not sure. Thanks for your quick responses, Rob |
