You'd be well-advised to familiarize yourself with the 8051 instruction set if you are programming in assembly language. The device supports indirect addressing. The C language supports "indirect" addressing using pointers, if that's the language you're programming in. Again, very basic stuff that your K&R or H&S will tell you about. |
