An interesting side note here.,......If you work with Cygnal 8051 type microcontrollers, they have an on-board watch dog timer. It is possible for software to shut down (kill) the watch dog timer in circumstances where it is not desired. It takes a two byte output sequence to the WDT circuit to shut it down. The numbers are 222 followed by 173. When translated to hexadecimal notation these numbers are DE AD. I think the designers at Cygnal were having fun that day.
