dear terry,
even mathematically Root Mean Square value is not zero and thats why its taken . simple arithmatic mean will offcourse be zero due to symmetry of sinus on both side of 0, so that line integral taken from 0 to 2* pi is yeild a value zero. what the poster is saying why mean is .707*peak value not zero. simple mean will be zero not .707*peak. and rms will be .707*peak value not the mean. abhishek |
