Well, since today's PIC thread hasn't been killed as quickly as yesterdays, here's my $.02 USD.

Unless you are taking some kind of survey, asking us which will be easier for you to learn seems a little silly to me. For example can you tell me, which would be easier for me to learn, the PowerPC or ARM?

Read the databook and instruction set for both the PIC and the AVR and determine for yourself which would be easier for you to learn.
