#49924 - RE: 5second counter in michael's state machi
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hi Waqar,

T1 is set for 1.25 ms (800Hz). Each time the timer ISR is called, tick is set...tick activates his timed state machine.

There are 8 signals being monitored in sequence, so each is monitored every 10 ms (100 Hz).

Above MAIN_STATE_1 is the definition of FIVE_SEC_CNT, which is 500 (5 * 100 ms). When a given switch counter has incremented to FIVE_SEC_CNT, five seconds has gone by.

By the way Waqar, there is a new article on state machines in Embedded.com, see http://newsletter.embedded.com/cgi-bin4/...1p0B2170A1
