#50520 - Serial communication |
I am using an 8051 microcontroller (P89C664HBA from Philips). Is it possible to send some serial data to a device without using the on-board serial port of the micro ? The data are fed into a digital potensiometer. I have looked at many different chips and all are using serial input. If anyone knows of any digital potensiometer with parallel input this will be even better, however, i'm still interested to know how is it possible to feed a serial input with data over any pin of the micro. Any C code examples are also welcomed. Thank you very much in advance. |
