if you want to be really pedantic about it then you have to say that if you concider probability of failure as a gaussian distribution against the number of write cycles then 99.96 percent of all failures lie within +/- 3 standard deviations with a mean of 100,000 and if you ask them the manufacurer will tell you what that standard deviation is.Some other pedant might argue that its not a true Gaussian distribution but they probably need to get out more. |
