#50797 - Parity - using C |
Hi all
I have had a look on the site and the net (and the "Bible") for parity checking. basically as I understand it. The (even) parity is set in PSW.7 for every byte in the ACC. However, I am trying to use the value to add the parity to the byte that I am going to send out the serial port how do I add it on, and make sure that I am adding the parity in PSW to the byte that is actually being sent out the port? I can set the port in all the different modes it is just sending the additional bit for parity on each byte that I am struggling with. I am using C, so any examples suggested would be good in C, (I can port them - but I'm useless at ASM) Tahnks for your help Marshall Brown |
