Hi,

I did a software time & date display for a client once. First, I did my best with the timer, then let the clock run for a day. Once I knew the drift (1 second out in 1513 seconds - not terrific!), I modified the basic software counter routine to add (subtract?) 1 every 1513 counts. This gave relatively amazing accuracy!
