Thanks for the sanity check. I'm currently not using an EVM but now I'm really thinking of getting one.

I created my own board with RS232 drivers and I'm able to download the code using the TI downloader. I even created my own download utility and it still able to download correctly.

Do you have any ideas why I can download but the code doesn't run? My main is simply this:

P0DDRL = 0x55;
P0DDRH = 0x55;
P0 = 0x00; // turns ON LED on P0.0
while(1) {}
}

The HCR0 and HCR1 are set to 0xFF & 0xFC respectively. Thanks.
