If you read the 8051 bible (see links) you will find a description of the 8051 hardware. Pay close attention to I/O ports and memory mapping.

Then take a visit to your favorite uC vendor's website, there you should find apnotes describing how to interface their products to various peripheral chips, usually including required code.
