#52125 - RE: programe flash of the 89C51 over RS-232
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hi Joerg,

yes this is posible. I have done IAP with Atmels RB2
over USB.
I devided my code into two sections
- one section with IAP code (which can't be updated)
- one section with the application code

Interrupt processeing might be somewhat complicated.
The params for IAP are almost the same as for Philips
with the following exeptions:

- you don't need to specify the XTAL param
- You don't need to erase the Mem prior overwriting (on RB2/RC2)
- you can not program more than 16 bytes with one call
- at least on RB2 I had serious problems with byte prog

Don't forget to save the irq status before the IAP call
and restore it after the call.

Thomas
