The problem has been resolved. Just FYI, this LCD is using Hitachi 66712 Chip, of which the initialization is different than most of the standard ones. If any body is going to use this type of LCD controller, make sure the RE-Bit is enabled first. Then set the NW bit to 1 (a HINT). Other wise, you will run into the same problem as I did.
