#53003 - RE: Looking for a Keil C51 Compiler Responding to: ???'s previous message |
There is a description of how to transfer ownership in the license agreement that comes with the software. It is the easiest transfer of all license agreements for embedded compilers that I have seen.
The maintenance period is for 1 year regardless of the licensee. However, most original licensees don't sell or transfer the license until after that period of time. So, subsequent licensees actually get no support. It's like buying a car with a 3-year 36K mile warranty. The warranty transfers to subsequent owners but still expires at 3-years or 36K miles. Jon |
