By the way, have you soldered PCB correctly?
It's pretty easy to get too much solder on the pins of a socket, causing a solder bridge under the socket (between the socket and the PCB). If adjacent pins of a socket are shorted, and you can't see the short, desolder the socket and pull it off. If you're picking up a bit, that could well be caused by an open somewhere, perhaps an unsoldered or poorly soldered pin. Time to get out the meter and buzz out the data lines checking for opens and shorts. Dennis |
