dear raghu,

what are you suggesting is Time shared multitasking or simulated multiprogramming not multiprocessing, i think poster is asking for parallel processing.

Even i dont know where this DMA slided in.

DMA (if Direct Memory Accees in meant not the Dynamic Memory allocation) is used to maximize the through put of the processor during a IO processing JOb is running.


DPR is the way as suggested. many topologies there, go for a good parallel processing text book like by "BRIGGS".
