I do not know your particular ICE (I assume it is "emulator") but the way to learn to use an ICE is to use it. You can not read in a manual "where to set a breakpoint" or "how to use the ability to change a memory location" only practice will work here. Obviously the information on how to set a breakpoint must be in the manual which I assume you have read.
