#55002 - Interrupt query in philip RTC PCF8583 |
Hello,
I am using philps RTC PCF8583. The data sheet is on the following URL http://www.semiconductors.philips.com/cgi-bin/p...3P/F5.html I have one query with the INT pin of PCF8583. I am using the timer alarm function of the RTC It has been said in the data sheet (page12) that ,in the clock mode ,if the alarm enable is not activated the interupt logic toggles at 1 hZ with 50% duty cycle. This is the default power-on state. Since i am using the alarm function ,i will be tieing the INT o/p of RTC to INT of the controller (8051). What is the output of INT at Pin 7 incase the alarm bit is enabled ,because if it toggles the o/p then the interrupt will be generated continously. 2)Secondly in the format for year/date counter(fig 6 on page8) bit 6 and 7 are used for year (year can be set by setting the bits 0 to 3 in bianry).I dont understand how do i set the year. Thanks in advance Pravin |
